The Sailor 500 from Thrane & Thrane is the largest antenna in the Thrane Fleet Broadband family. It provides data rates up to 432 kbps with simultaneous fax or voice calls. All INMARSAT BGAN services are supported including guaranteed rate, streaming data up to 256 kbps

The Sailor 500 is standard equipment on many deep sea ships. It is gradually replacing legacy Fleet 77 and Saturn B systems as the primary communications bearer.
